The season continues as 2020 starts
The new year started and the season continued with a home game against Moseley Oak 2nd XV in the Merit Table.
The first half began with chances for both teams until Mosley broke the deadlock after 30 minutes with a converted try. 0-7.
Good opportunities again for Erdington as the half progressed but Moseley were able to capitalise on a mistake on halfway to score. Conversion missed, 0-12.
A quickly taken penalty just before half time by Dave Owen cut the lead. And with the conversion accurate the score was 7-12.

The opportunities continued for Erdington at the start of the second half but they were unable to convert. A mistake from Erdington off a penalty resulted in a Moseley try. Missed 7-17.
On 65 minutes a good return run from Erdington resulted in a second try for Dave Owen and Erdington. Missed conversion, 12-17
Another quick try for Erdington shortly after by Curtis Roberts brought the scores level. Converted to give Erdington a 19-17 lead.
A tap penalty for Moseley on the try line resulted in a try which gave them back the lead. Converted 19-24.
From the kick off, quick play from Moseley saw them score again. Converted 19-31.
Good pressure from Erdington got them a fourth try through Mitchell Baker. Missed 24-31.
Moseley responded with two quick tries in the final minutes of the game, but were unable to convert either to give them a 24-41 win.

A tough start to the new year but plenty for the players and coaches to pleased with as the game only got away from Erdington towards the end.
With a great performance Chris Jones was named man of the match.
