A tough home game for Erdington yesterday as we welcomed Birmingham Bulls RFC to Spring Lane. A fast start from Bulls saw them take an early lead and continue to pile on the pressure throughout the first half. Erdington did manage to score through Earl, but went into the half time break 5-17.
After a rousing half time talk, Erdington looked to make changes in the second half. With 2 tries disallowed from Ex Captain Cleggy, ERFC were able to start convert their pressure into points, scoring through Dave, Earl getting a second and Captain Luke, plus a conversion from Mitch. Despite this they couldn’t continue to hold Bulls at bay.

For an all round display in a tough match Chris Hume was awarded man of the match.
The end of the match saw the two teams come together for a photograph with North Midlands President Judith Phelps, who had with her a cheque showing the money raised by local clubs for the My Name’5 Doddie MND charity.
